Meet the Fiber Technicians Behind Your Connection

More Than Just Installing Internet
Installing fiber internet involves much more than simply running a cable from one location to another. Every home, property, and installation is different. Before work begins, technicians evaluate the site, develop a plan, troubleshoot potential obstacles, and make sure everything is working exactly as it should before they leave.
“It’s more than just running a cable,” said Skyler Ganshorn. “There is troubleshooting involved, and you have to plan the entire process from start to finish.”
That attention to detail helps create a smooth experience for members and ensures they’re set up for success from day one.

Experience, Problem-Solving, and a Passion for Service
Our fiber technicians come from a variety of backgrounds, but they all share a commitment to helping people and solving problems.
John Lindsay and Adam Churchill both transitioned from the satellite industry after seeing the growing demand for fiber internet. They recognized an opportunity to be part of the future of connectivity while continuing to serve customers in meaningful ways.
For Skyler, the position brings together two things he enjoys most: technical problem-solving and hands-on work. Every day offers an opportunity to tackle new challenges and learn something new.
Before joining the fiber team, Jason Tackitt spent 16 years working in telecommunications. The move to fiber allowed him to apply his experience while continuing to learn and grow as technology evolves.

The Work You Don’t Always See
When service interruptions occur, technicians work quickly to locate the source of the problem and restore connections as efficiently as possible. Sometimes that means working after normal business hours to minimize disruptions for members.
“Sometimes we work overnight repairing fiber lines so customers don’t even realize their service was disrupted while they were sleeping,” Adam said.
Whether responding to an outage, repairing damaged fiber, or tracking down a difficult issue, the goal is always the same: keeping members connected. As John points out, many people don’t realize how much planning, troubleshooting, and technical expertise go into diagnosing and repairing fiber service. Every repair requires patience, knowledge, and a commitment to finding the right solution.

A Team Built on Strong Values
When asked to describe themselves in a single word, the responses reflected the qualities that define this team:
- Skyler: Detail-oriented
- John: Dependable
- Jason: Hardworking
- Adam: Loyal
Those aren’t just words, they’re qualities that show up every day in the way they serve our members. John takes pride in being honest and dependable, both on and off the job. Skyler appreciates the opportunity to learn from experienced teammates and continue building his skills. Jason values being part of a strong team, and Adam enjoys mastering new challenges and expanding his knowledge throughout his career.
Committed to Our Members
At the center of every installation, repair, and service call is a commitment to member satisfaction.
For Skyler, creating a positive experience is one of the most important parts of the job. “We strive to be the best and different from other companies. Customer satisfaction always comes first, and we want to provide the best experience possible for every customer.”
John feels the same way. One of his favorite parts of the job is helping people and making sure they’re taken care of. “Going to customers’ homes and knowing I’m going to do everything I can to make them happy” is what he enjoys most about being a fiber technician.
Jason is proud to help deliver what he believes is the best internet service in the county, while Adam offers a simple reminder of why their work matters: “Thank you for wanting internet. You’re the reason we have jobs.”

Life Outside of Work
When they’re not keeping members connected, our fiber technicians enjoy spending time with family and pursuing a wide variety of hobbies.
Skyler enjoys working out, gaming, fishing, and spending time outdoors. John spends much of his free time supporting his children at their activities and cheering them on from the sidelines. Jason enjoys hunting and fishing whenever he gets the chance.
Adam stays active with his family through boating, water sports, walks, and other outdoor adventures. He also has a creative hobby that surprises many people. “I create and program Christmas light displays,” Adam shared. “A lot of people don’t know I’m really into lighting design and programming.”
Thank You to Our Fiber Technicians
Every installation completed, every problem solved, and every connection restored reflects the hard work and dedication of our fiber technicians. Much of what they do happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt every day by the members who rely on dependable internet for work, education, communication, entertainment, and staying connected with loved ones.
To Skyler Ganshorn, John Lindsay, Jason Tackitt, Adam Churchill, and the entire Kosciusko Connect team: thank you for your expertise, commitment, and dedication to serving our members. We appreciate everything you do to keep our communities connected .
