Jaden Moneyhun - Fiber Support Specialist

 

Q: Please tell us about your role as a Fiber Support Specialist at Kosciusko Connect. What does a typical day look like for you?

A: As the fiber support specialist, I am the main direct line of communication between our subscribers and the company regarding any and all technical issues going on with the internet. Whether that be reporting outages, resetting passwords, or just answering questions about the Kosciusko Connect App,  I’m the go-to guy. It is also my responsibility to look after and maintain a number of software platforms that our team uses.

Q: Could you share some highlights of your educational and/or career journey and what led you to become a part of our team?

A: I went to and graduated from college at Purdue Polytechnic in Anderson, Indiana. There I got my bachelor’s degree in computer information and technology. During my college tenure, I worked at an agricultural company called Hello Nature as a Web Developer intern. A few months before graduation, I decided to search for a job so I can start my career, and that’s when Kosciusko Connect called. A week after my graduation, I moved two hours north of home and got a fresh start in Warsaw to start my journey. It all happened very quickly, but after a year of working here I feel like I have fully settled into the team and have grown accustomed to this city, enjoying every second of it.

Q: Kosciusko Connect has rapidly connected over 7,800 subscribers to its fiber internet network since its launch in 2021. What aspects of this growth have been most exciting for you?

A: It’s been “green light” since I’ve arrived at Kosciusko Connect and it’s not looking to slow down anytime soon. It is all very exciting. The aspects that have been most exciting for me are just being able to personally hear and see the number of subscribers that are happy to have this service, especially those in rural areas that barely have any options for internet at all.

Q: In your opinion, what sets Kosciusko Connect apart from other internet providers?

A: What sets us apart from other internet providers is the way we truly care about each individual subscriber. We resolve issues and answer questions that many other businesses won’t even bother with. All the calls we receive go directly to real people. We don’t want our customers to spend their day trying to speak on the phone with a robot. We want our people to know they are in good hands.

Q: Outside of work, what are some of your interests or hobbies? Any fun facts about you that our subscribers might find surprising?

A: Despite being the “IT Guy”, I try to find hobbies that keep me off the computer when I can. My warm weather hobbies are fishing, kayaking, and tennis. In the winter months I stick to playing board games, video games and watching football.
